An Offering of Blossoms《花供今朝》 Adapted by: Sophie Zhang Choreography by: Li Jiawen, Liu Haiyan, Meng Lijun, Xu Wanling Burning incense, making tea, hanging paintings, and arranging flowers were known as the "Four Leisurely Pursuits" by the Song people, with flower arranging being perhaps unmatched by anyone in later generations. This work draws inspiration from the art of flower arranging in the Song Dynasty, depicting a Song Dynasty woman arranging flowers at her desk, using the flowers in her hands to convey her reverence for nature and her yearning for a better life. It also subtly highlights the Song Dynasty's society, where life was rich in refined tastes, and the ancient philosophical view of the unity of man and nature.
