Ashura Procession Park Avenue NYC June 29 2025

Ashura Procession Park Avenue NYC 2025 During the Ashura procession, Shia Muslims perform Matam—rhythmic chest-beating—to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and the tragedy of Karbala. This powerful act expresses grief, devotion, and a stand against injustice. Chanting "Ya Hussain," mourners unite in remembrance through this emotional ritual. #AshuraProcession2025 #NYC #
