The Publick House Historic Inn, which opened in Sturbrige, Massachussetts in 1771, has hosted George Washington and the Marquis de Lafayette --- as well as countless visitors looking to explore the Brimfield Antique Flea Market down the street. However, it's debatable whether some, more supernatural guests have ever checked out.
Here, we explore the story behind Ebenezer Crafts, who opened the Publick House Historic Inn in 1771, and why he's closely associated with the supernatural rumors surrounding this colonial hotel.
Oh yes, there is history here!
