🚀 In this beginner-friendly MERN Stack tutorial, we build a complete communication flow between a React application and a Node.js + Express server without using any database. This approach helps you understand the fundamentals of REST APIs before introducing MongoDB. What you'll learn: ✅ Setting up a basic Express server ✅ Creating REST API endpoints ✅ Working with GET and POST requests ✅ Serving static HTML pages from Express ✅ Testing APIs using browser pages ✅ Creating a React application ✅ Calling Express APIs from React ✅ Sending data using Axios ✅ Reading data using Fetch API ✅ Displaying data in React ✅ Understanding temporary in-memory storage using arrays At the end of this tutorial, you'll clearly understand how React communicates with an Express backend. ⚠️ Note: This tutorial intentionally stores data inside an array. Once the Node server is restarted, all data is lost. In the next part, we'll replace this with MongoDB and a proper layered architecture.
