Raised in Brooklyn, Nora Brown’s banjo playing and singing draw deep from the traditional music of eastern Kentucky and Tennessee. Alongside her is Stephanie Coleman, an exceptional old-time fiddler whose years of playing include touring with Uncle Earl and collaborations with some of the finest voices in American roots music. Together, they bring a deep understanding of where these songs come from, with room to let them breathe. Volume Records gave us a home for this one.
