Welcome back to Part 26 of my DIY Autonomous Mobile Robot build series. In this episode, using Fusion 360, I'll continue the design work by solving the mounting and access challenges involved in attaching the remaining body panels to the chassis. If you're just discovering this project, be sure to check out Parts 1 through 25 via the link to the playlist below, or access the full playlist at the end of this video. This series documents the complete design and building process of an autonomous mobile robot, including CAD design, chassis construction, electronics integration, and mechanical problem-solving. 🔩 What We Design in This Episode Extended the rear portions of the inner walls to provide mounting points for the Left and Right Side Panels Created rear mounting tabs with M2 screw holes for securing the side panels Added M2 threaded holes to the inner walls Designed a three-washer arrangement to correctly position the M2 nylon mounting screws Replaced Phillips-head M2 nylon screws with hex socket-head screws for improved access Attached the remaining body panels to the chassis Designed a Connecting Plate for mounting the Lower Front Panel to the chassis Added L-Connectors with M2 threaded mounting holes Created underside access holes for the four M2 mounting screws Added colour to the wheels, body panels, head and beak At the end of this episode, the robot finally looks like a duck! 🦆 The design is not yet complete, and I'll continue with the remaining details and corrections in the next episode. 🔧 Tools & Resources: Fusion 360: Download Here (https://www.autodesk.com/products/fus...) 3D model (step file) of plastic bottle cap: https://grabcad.com/library/plastic-b... 3D model (step file) of female DuPont connectors: https://grabcad.com/library/dupont-ca...
