You can be the hardest-working person on your team, and still be failing as a manager. I didn't understand that in my first year. I thought being a good manager meant being the person everyone could depend on — answering every question, fixing every problem, stepping in whenever something went wrong. From the outside, I probably looked responsible. But I was actually becoming very good at doing the exact things that would keep me stuck. In this video, I walk through the three things I had to change to actually become a manager, not just a busier version of a worker: letting go of being the best worker on the team, learning to clearly define what "done" actually looks like before handing something off, and — the hardest one for me — letting people get things wrong without stepping in to fix it myself. I get honest about where each of these came from fear, not quality control, and what changed once I finally addressed them. If you're a new manager who's constantly busy and wondering why it feels so exhausting, this one's for you. 💬 Tell me in the comments — of these three, which one is hardest for you? Letting go of the work, explaining what "done" looks like, or letting people make mistakes without stepping in? 👍 If you're trying to become the kind of manager people actually want to work for, hit like and subscribe — new videos on leadership, management, and career growth every week. 🔗 juleetalk.com #leadership #management #newmanager #careeradvice #JuleeTalk
