The story of Tsar Bomba, the most powerful nuclear bomb ever detonated: why it was built, how it worked, the crew's escape, and what an explosion on this scale would mean. Extraordinary by Design explores remarkable machines, inventions and engineering. VISUALS & DISCLOSURE This documentary combines real photographs and documents with AI-generated period reconstructions, story illustrations and engineering visualizations. Reconstructed test-day scenes are not archival recordings. Modern Earth imagery illustrates geography. The New York sequence is hypothetical, using 2020 population data and stated model assumptions; it is not an event or a building-by-building simulation. Actual crew radiation dose and absolute cabin temperature are unestablished. Modern Tu-95MS, teleprinter and received-Morse sounds are illustrative Foley, not recordings of the 1961 mission. IMAGE & REFERENCE CREDITS Some sources were adapted or used as reconstruction references. Applicable image adaptations retain their source licence. Licences apply to those images, not unrelated film material; no endorsement is implied. Croquant — Tsar Bomba.JPG (CC BY-SA 3.0) https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi...
