MTR A225/A106 at HKU P1

M-Train A225/A106 is seen arriving and departing HKU Platform 1 bound for Chai Wan. This train is fitted with the new CBTC signalling equipments, even though the Island Line currently runs under the conventional SACEM distance-to-go signalling system. Its onboard new signalling equipments currently serve as a backup in preparation for the CBTC testing on the Island Line. This train was transferrred from Tsuen Wan Line in early May 2026 as Q-Train's are progressively being rolled out on the Tsuen Wan Line. At the same time, this train replaced the position of the ex-retro livery M-Train (A161/A162), which ended up being withdrawn from service on the 20th of the same month Filmed date: 15/5/2026
