Here’s a demo and sound examples of the Boss DC-2w Dimension C Waza Craft pedal. No knobs on this one; the buttons go from subtle to higher rates and depth, but it’s always more tasteful than a typical modulation pedal. There’s two modes: S is the traditional sounds from the original DC-2 pedal and SDD-320 mode follows the sounds of boss’ original rackmount version. To my ears, S mode is a little warmer while SDD-320 is a little more hifi. I find different modes work better on different instruments. I used SDD-320 mode because my basses have enough low end. I used a Fender American Original 60s Precision Bass with flatwound strings for the demo portion of the video, and a Rob Allen Deep 4 fretless with tapewound strings for the improv. Both basses go into a Universal Audio Volt 276 interface, which is connected to a 2022 iPad ProRecording in GarageBand without any additional effects.
