WE HIKED AN ACTIVE VOLCANO!!! | Acatenango and Volcan de fuego in Guatemala [DIFFICULT]

Sharing this once in a lifetime experience… 🌋🇬🇹 We impulsively booked a weekend trip to Guatemala just to see a volcano eruption up close and personal. Being able to witness this was such a privilege and I am very grateful to have had this experience in great company. As novice hikers and with little time to prep, we were a bit nervous about this trek, which was the most difficult one we had ever done. This hike needed a lot of mental and physical push and there were times where we felt like giving up, but nothing is impossible. After reaching the summit, the feeling we got was priceless and everything felt so worth it. Shoutout to our tour guides, especially Manolo and Jose, for staying with us during that last push from Fuego back to basecamp. That was probably the hardest part and we cried a lot. Also, shoutout to our porters, I don’t know how they did it but I for sure wouldn’t have made it to the top if I had to carry my bag. This was such an unforgettable adventure and we are incredibly grateful and privileged to be able to see the world.
