Deutz Tractors, John Deere 45 & Big Farm Updates

Summer is over, and it's time to wrap up the last of our fall farm projects before another Wisconsin winter arrives! In this episode of Mahner Farms, we're tackling a long list of jobs around the farm, including pressure washing an old New Holland square baler for my cousin Nick, moving our vintage John Deere 45 combine out of the machine shed, and repairing and sealing the ridge cap on our old round-rafter dairy barn roof. We're also getting our Deutz tractors ready for the future, with updates on the overhaul of our Deutz 6806 and the fresh paint job on our Deutz DX140. With winter approaching, it's time to get the tractors, implements, and other farm equipment organized and put away in the machine shed. Along the way, I'll share some beautiful 4K drone footage of the Wisconsin countryside and our farm as the growing season comes to an end. Beyond the equipment repairs and fall cleanup, there are some important developments concerning the future of our family farm! We're making progress toward establishing a certified organic dairy operation, and I'll discuss our organic certification, the arrival of cattle in our pastures, and our plans and timeline for eventually returning to milking cows. I'll also provide a general farm update, covering equipment we've recently sold, tractors and machinery still available for sale, and some of the projects we're planning for the coming year. As we continue restoring our old dairy farm, maintaining vintage agricultural equipment, and working toward our goal of producing organic milk, there's plenty happening here at Mahner Farms. Join us for another look at life on a Wisconsin family farm as we close out the season and prepare for the next chapter! #MahnerFarms #DeutzFahr #Farming
