Where is The Promise? There is a new studio in Culver City, California called Promise that is Hollywood's first real AI movie studio and they are backed by Google and Disney. However, their address isn't public information. But supposedly it is within walking distance of Sony Studios. At Promise Studios, there is an entire movie being made right now with generative AI, using Seedance to make a horror feature film called Touch Grass. And the entire crew is apparently only 3 to 4 people, including the Director! The problem is, LA County's Motion Picture Department is already down 1/3 of its normal workforce. 42,000 jobs have been lost before this AI movie studio ever showed up.
