🏔️ 20,000 FEET ABOVE SEA LEVEL | 3 DAYS IN THE MOUNTAINS | CHULING MEADOWS | SIACHEN GLACIERS — EPISODE 1 In this new adventure, we are heading toward the breathtaking mountains at an altitude of approximately 20,000 feet above sea level. This is not just a trekking trip—it is a journey filled with adventure, challenges, low oxygen, heavy backpacks, unpredictable weather, and the raw beauty of the mountains. Our journey begins from Chuling Meadows, the beautiful summer pastureland of Saltoro Goma, one of the last villages in the Siachen region of Pakistan. In my previous vlogs, I showed you how people live their lives in this remote and beautiful mountain area and how they spend their summers with their livestock in these high-altitude pastures. This time, however, our goal is different. We are heading further into the mountains to explore and trek toward a high-altitude mountain, where we plan to spend approximately three days camping in the wilderness. To reach our destination, we have to cover around 5 kilometers on foot, carrying all our food, water, camping equipment, and other essential supplies on our backs. At such a high altitude, breathing itself becomes difficult. Carrying a heavy backpack while climbing makes the trek even more challenging. But the incredible mountain scenery keeps pushing us forward. After several hours of difficult trekking, we finally reach our camping spot. And the view that welcomes us is absolutely breathtaking. 🏔️ From the top, we can see magnificent mountains, beautiful greenery, and incredible views of the Siachen Glaciers stretching across the horizon. We set up our camping tent and prepare ourselves for our first night in the mountains. But then, the weather suddenly changes. The rain begins—the exact weather we were hoping to avoid. 🌧️ The combination of low oxygen, cold temperatures, heavy rain, exhaustion, and high altitude makes our first night extremely difficult. Sleeping becomes almost impossible, and the harsh mountain conditions make us realize how challenging it is to spend several days at such an extreme altitude. In this Episode 1, you will experience our entire trekking journey, the struggle of carrying heavy equipment at high altitude, the breathtaking mountain views, the beautiful triangular-shaped mountain, the spectacular Siachen Glacier views, Chuling Meadows, local mountain life, setting up our campsite, and our first night in the wilderness.
