Nothing Is Too Hard for You

Nothing Is Too Hard for You | Jeremiah's Prayer | Jeremiah 32:17 | Christian Scripture Song Is anything too difficult for the God who created heaven and earth? When circumstances seem impossible, when our understanding fails, and when the future appears uncertain, Scripture reminds us of the limitless power and sovereign authority of the Lord. “Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.” — Jeremiah 32:17 (KJV) “Nothing Is Too Hard for You” is inspired by the prophet Jeremiah's extraordinary prayer during one of the darkest periods in Judah's history. Jerusalem was under siege. Judgment was approaching. The nation faced destruction and exile. Yet God instructed Jeremiah to purchase a field, demonstrating that His promises of future restoration would stand even when the present circumstances seemed hopeless. Jeremiah responded by acknowledging the greatness, power, justice, and faithfulness of God. Nothing was too difficult for the Lord. SCRIPTURE FOUNDATION Jeremiah 32:16–27 — Jeremiah prays to the sovereign Creator, declaring that nothing is too hard for Him. The Lord responds by affirming that nothing is too difficult for Him. Genesis 18:14 — The Lord asks Abraham, “Is any thing too hard for the LORD?” when promising the birth of Isaac. Luke 1:37 — The angel Gabriel declares that nothing will be impossible with God when announcing the miraculous conception of Jesus. Matthew 19:26 — Jesus teaches that what is impossible with man is possible with God. Ephesians 3:20–21 — God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to His power at work within us. THE MESSAGE Jeremiah's prayer was not spoken during a season of comfort or prosperity. It came while Jerusalem faced destruction and the future of God's people appeared uncertain. Yet Jeremiah remembered who God was. The Creator of heaven and earth. The Lord who delivered Israel from Egypt. The righteous Judge of all mankind. The covenant-keeping God whose promises cannot fail. Jeremiah knew that the circumstances surrounding him did not limit God's power. And this truth remains important for every follower of Jesus Christ. We may face circumstances beyond our ability to resolve. We may struggle with addiction, grief, illness, broken relationships, fear, or uncertainty. We may pray for deliverance and wonder why the answer has not yet come. But God's unlimited power does not mean He has promised to grant every request exactly as we desire. It means that nothing can prevent Him from accomplishing His perfect purposes. Biblical faith is not confidence that God will do whatever we want. It is confidence that God is able to accomplish everything He has promised. We are called to trust His wisdom, submit to His will, obey His Word, and depend upon His grace. For those walking through recovery or spiritual struggles, this truth offers particular encouragement. We cannot transform ourselves through human determination alone. But God is able to change hearts, strengthen believers, forgive sins through Jesus Christ, and accomplish His work in those who trust Him. The same Lord who spoke to Jeremiah remains sovereign today. His power has not diminished. His promises have not failed. And His purposes cannot be defeated. May this Scripture-inspired song strengthen your faith, deepen your dependence upon the Lord, and remind you that no circumstance is beyond His authority. Nothing is too hard for You, Lord.
