Trockenersteg Awaits: Zermatt to Trockenersteg Walk Part 1

Ascend high above the valley for the best Matterhorn views as we take the Zermatt cable car toward the peaks. The journey starts in the village, where traditional wooden chalets are framed by the gold and red foliage of autumn hiking season. Watching the architecture shift from valley-level homes to rugged slopes offers a real sense of scale before we even board our transport. Once we reach the station, the cable car ride provides a smooth ascent into the high altitude. We arrive at Trockenersteg to find a stunning panorama of the iconic mountain, perfect for capturing the classic Swiss Alps travel photo.
