It WAS the cheapest card for a little bit, and hopefully it will be again. The 7900 XT has changed price a lot over the last year, meaning the value proposition could have changed alongside that. Most recently, we've seen swings from $850 to $720, then $800, and now there are some back at $750 again -- but all of these are transient, of course, and the conclusion ends up being a more nuanced "if it costs THIS, then here's what we think." We'd assume some of the pricing chaos is due to GPU oversupply and some is due to impending holiday sales.
