Fr Angelo's Legacy Lives On: A Century of Hope: Centenary Inuaguration at Nyumbani Village Jan 25th

Nyumbani Village marked a historic moment with the Centenary Mass of Fr. Angelo D’Agostino SJ, MD, celebrating 100 years since the birth of the visionary founder whose compassion transformed the lives of thousands of children affected by HIV and AIDS. Held at Nyumbani Village in Kwa Vonza, Kitui, the Mass brought together clergy, staff, alumni, partners, and friends to honour Fr. D’Agostino’s extraordinary legacy. From caring for refugees in Thailand to advocating for accessible and affordable antiretroviral treatment, Fr. Dag dedicated his life to defending the dignity and future of the most vulnerable. His work also led to a landmark legal victory that allowed children living with HIV to attend public schools, helping break stigma and expand opportunities for thousands of young people in Kenya. This celebration also marks 34 years of Nyumbani Children’s Home, and 20 years of Nyumbani Villages. Places that continues to provide holistic care, education, and hope to children and families affected by HIV. The centenary year will be celebrated under the theme: “Legend of Hope: Celebrating a Century of Building Sustainable Generations with Compassion.” Join us as we reflect on the life, faith, and mission of a man whose legacy continues to inspire compassion and change.
