Great Glen Way Part Two. Loch Oich to Abriachan Forest

Having had a full wet day and night and witnessing the campsite flooding during the night we set off in search of a cooked breakfast and this we found in Fort Augustus. Then the climbing started! And boy did it not let up! Up and over the hills and down into Invermorriston and then up again into proper wild country and over to Drumnadrochit. We chose both High routes and it was worth the effort as suddenly the skies changed to blue, the sun came out and we were treated to a view that literally takes your breath away. Then we slipped in and out of Drumnadrochit via the pub and hiked up and up and up to reach an amazing camp spot looking over some of the last views of Loch Ness before heading back into the Highlands to make our way to Inverness in part three.
