Theirs and Ours: The Exodus, Slavery to Sin, and the One Who Sets Us Free | Exodus 20:2 I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. Pharaoh was the most powerful person on the planet. And God is stronger. God freed the people from the clutches of their physical slavery under Pharaoh. And free he did. And then our Exodus. Romans 6 — we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, so we might no longer be enslaved to sin. You having been set free from sin have become enslaved to righteousness. The fruit you have leads to sanctification and the end is eternal life. God has found us in our slavery. He purchased us through the blood of Christ, whose blood pays the debt we could never pay, whose blood wins for us forgiveness. Jesus is our liberation. He sets us free and we are free indeed. We're not slaves anymore. And that is joyful, joyful slavery. 🙌✝️ 📖 Key Scriptures: Exodus 20:2, Exodus 1:8, Exodus 11, Romans 6:6-22, John 8:34-36, Titus 2:14 More at: www.LWLC.com — Like, share & subscribe! 🙏 #Exodus20 #SlaveryToSin #JesusOurLiberation #GenesisToRevelation #BibleTeaching 🏷️ YouTube Keywords/Tags: Exodus 20:2 Lord your God brought out Egypt slavery, slavery to sin Scripture, everyone who commits sin is slave John 8:34, Romans 6 no longer enslaved to sin, set free from sin enslaved to righteousness, God is stronger than Pharaoh, spotless lamb blood doorposts Passover, parting of the Red Sea Exodus, Ten Commandments Exodus 20, tabernacle God lives with people, Titus 2:14 redeem from iniquity, blood of Christ pays debt forgiveness, joyful slavery to righteousness, through line Genesis to Revelation, 66 books Bible sermon series, bondage to sin cannot free ourselves, Jesus our liberation free indeed, simultaneously saint and sinner Luther, God found us in our slavery purchased us, weed illustration teaching moment
