Inspired by C.S. Lewis’s profound reflections on Sehnsucht (inconsolable longing) and the true nature of Joy, this continuous musical journey explores the unnamable ache at the center of the human soul—a hunger that is better than any earthly fullness. Moving from off-kilter 7/8 progressive metal and 90s thrash grooves to acoustic EBow ballads and a massive 12/8 orchestral finale, the EP traces the journey of a pilgrim learning to read the signposts of beauty without turning them into idols. Featuring deep, gritty baritone vocals, soaring melismatic female wails, hard drop-D riffs, and resonant grand piano. Turn it up and follow the road home.
