Join Perfect Panoramas for a scenic journey down Gold Hill Road, from the historic mining community of Gold Hill, Colorado, to the beautiful streets of Boulder. Founded during the Colorado Gold Rush in 1859, Gold Hill is one of Colorado's earliest mining settlements. Our journey takes us past the historic Gold Hill Inn, built in 1926, before descending the mountain along a series of winding dirt roads and dramatic switchbacks. Along the way, we encounter a deer that makes an unexpected appearance directly in front of our truck! As we approach Boulder, the rugged mountain landscape gives way to the historic Mapleton Hill neighborhood, with its beautiful homes and tree-lined streets. This drive is especially meaningful to me. I spent four years living in Louisville, just east of Boulder, followed by several years in Nederland, west of the city. These truly are my old stomping grounds!
