It is a historical document of a concert evening, which brings together eleven of the greatest opera-voices, with a superb programm of famous arias from Italian, Russian and German operas performed in one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious opera houses – Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre. The evening is hosted by no less than the Spanish star tenor José Carreras. It doesn’t make a difference if it’s Lucia Aliberti singing Vincenzo Bellini’s “Ah se una volta sola” from La Sonnambula, or Alan Titus as Leoncavallo’s Tonio from his masterpiece I pagliacci – the warm and velvet sound of the Bolshoi Theatre fascinates the audience from the first minute to the last moment of this impressive concert.
