Chinese New Year in Singapore's Chinatown !! | Eng subs

This vlog is about how Singapore celebrate Chinese New Year (CNY) or Lunar New Year 2020. Although whole Singapore gets decorated in Chinese New Year theme but the epicenter of all the events is Chinatown, which is located in central Singapore. This year is "Rat" year according to Chinese calendar. There are total 12 animals and each year belong to one animal and this cycle repeats every 12 years. During this time, you can find lots of stuffs which is local to Mainland China markets. Streets are full with shops selling items to decorate house or offices. All the Chinese people who are working in Singapore but have families in China go back to mainland China to celebrate this festival and hence during the day on which CNY is celebrated, road are empty and Singapore looks like ghost town.
