Welcome to Class 3 of Riyadh us-Saliheen. In this Hadith, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prophesied about a sign of the Day of Judgment. An army will set out with the intention to attack the Holy Kaaba. When they reach a place called Al-Baida (a desert between Makkah and Madinah), Allah will cause the entire army, from the first to the last, to be swallowed by the earth. Aisha (RA) narrated that she asked, "O Messenger of Allah, there will be forced people and travelers among them?" The Prophet (PBUH) said, "They will all be swallowed, but they will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment according to their intentions." [Sahih Bukhari & Muslim] This Hadith teaches us the immense importance of Niyyah (Intention).
