Kevin, Kim and I SCUBA dived the famous #9 KARPATA site. Beautiful reef. Just a note: if you plan to dive KARPATA before 1000 STEPS, it will require that you drive all the way back through Rincon before you can get back on the ONE-WAY ROAD to the 1000 STEPS parking area. Good news though, there is a KFC in Kralendijk to grab a snack during your surface interval. And the highest point on the island is 791 feet above sea level (not to exceed limit of 1000 feet).
