How Korea's alphabet is saving an Indonesian dialect

However, they haven’t learned to write the Korean language. Instead, Hangul is being used to preserve their own indigenous dialect, Cia-Cia. Like most of the over 700 languages spoken in the country, Cia-Cia doesn’t have a proper written system. Cia-Cia speakers have adopted Hangul in an effort to preserve their dying language.
