This is not an anti-AI lesson. Using AI to help you write is not the problem. Sending its first draft is. AI gets you past the blank page, checks your grammar and suggests structure. What it cannot do is sound like you, because it has never met you. So we fix that, in five steps, in about five minutes per email. Download the guide: the 10 signals and the five-minute edit: https://duarte-business-english.kit.c... WHO THIS IS FOR Anyone who writes emails at work and uses AI to help. Non-native English speakers who rely on it more than they would like to admit, and native speakers who have started to notice their own writing sounding generic. No advanced English required. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN How to spot the em dash habit and what to use instead Why "I hope this email finds you well" now works against you The vocabulary AI reaches for that real people never say out loud How cliche stacking gives you away in a single sentence Why no contractions and identical paragraphs look machine made The deepest signal of all: no names, no dates, no numbers Three more tells that most people miss, including semicolons The five-step edit that makes any draft sound like you What to write instead of the most overused openers in business How to prompt better so the signals never appear The 60-second check before you press send THE FIVE-STEP EDIT 1. Cut it by a third 2. Add one fact only you could know 3. Remove the em dashes and semicolons 4. Add contractions and vary the sentence length 5. Read it aloud CHAPTERS 0:00 The email nobody wrote 0:37 About me: Melissa B.
