The Last Goodbye

Every evening, a young woman named Clara returns to the abandoned railway station where she once said goodbye to the man she loved. Before he left for war, he promised to return and play their favorite melody on his violin. Years pass, but he never comes back. One rainy evening, Clara discovers an old letter hidden beneath the station’s piano. It contains his final words: “If I cannot return to you, listen to the music. Every note will carry the love I could never bring home.” With trembling hands, Clara sits at the piano and begins to play. As the melody fills the empty station, she imagines his violin answering hers, while distant voices seem to echo the memories they once shared. For a brief moment, she smiles through her tears. Then the music fades. Clara places the letter against her heart, turns off the last candle, and walks into the darkness alone. Some goodbyes never end. They simply become melodies we carry for the rest of our lives.
