Super strength sounds fun until you hit snooze. What if you woke up 1,000 times stronger and fell through ten floors before breakfast? You can lift an eighteen-wheeler and throw a supersonic fastball, but learning to be gentle might be your hardest challenge.
What would you accidentally break first? Drop your “what if” in the comments.

Sources & notes
• Adult grip strength peaks at roughly 30 kg for women and 50 kg for men (about 70 and 110 lb; Dodds et al., 2014, PLoS ONE, “Grip Strength across the Life Course”). The video rounds a strong grip to “about a hundred pounds”.
• The federal maximum gross vehicle weight for trucks on the U.S. Interstate System is 80,000 lb (FHWA, Federal Size and Weight Regulations, 23 U.S.C. 127).
• Average fastball velocity in Major League Baseball is in the low-to-mid 90s mph (MLB Statcast). The speed of sound in air at sea level is about 767 mph (343 m/s; NASA Glenn Research Center).
• A typical adult man's standing vertical jump is about 16–20 inches (Topend Sports vertical jump norms). A thousand times that is roughly 1,300–1,700 ft; the Empire State Building is 1,454 ft to the tip. This ignores air resistance, which would reduce the height a lot: that's why the video says “in theory”.
• Catching a falling person hurts because of how fast you stop them, not how strong you are: the same momentum stopped over a shorter time means a bigger force (impulse–momentum theorem). Spreading the stop over a long distance keeps the force small.
• Fiction: a body a thousand times stronger, bones and tendons included. Real muscles and bones could not scale like this.
One Small If — One small change. Every consequence.
