Migration Gravel Series 1st Edition Aberdare Cycling Challenge

Spectacular sceneries, fun, falls, tea plantations, descents, ascents, locals, cattle, gravel, skills, landscape, rocky terrains and fancy machines. Yesterday, about 60 cyclists challenged themselves over a 60 km offroad with 1,600m elevation gain at a high altitude of 2,400m. Sule called and asked "Moses, will you manage to come and take some footage of the Migration Gravel?". I wasn't intending to go all the way to Aberdare because i had commitments in Nairobi in the afternoon but he had requested me three times now so I decided to wake up at 4am and drive from Nairobi to support him. Thanks to my sister Christine and Don for accompanying and helping to take the footage. We ended up offering security and motivation to cyclists, coming to their aid when out of water, finding those who were lost and bringing them back on track, supported a cyclist who was injured and called for medical help, then ferried her and her bicycle back to the hotel. All this voluntary work within the ride didn't allow me to catch up with the fast guys at the front. If you don't see yourself, be slower next time :-). Organized by Sule, the cyclists spent the night at Aberdare cottages and cycled in the countryside of the Aberdare Hills. Watch this video to see how it went down.
