We will have a look at multiple samples of each instrument, from bad to good recording quality, so you can see how a mixer treats them to achieve a good starting point for further sound shaping. Most instruments have similar issues, but there is a lot of nuance that can be difficult to hear and notice for most people starting to mix. I want to break down this barrier and help you identify problematic areas quickly and easily, so you can focus on creating music. In the Drum Room video I have a look at multiple Rooms recorded in different rooms with different mics. To me the Overheads and the rooms are the most important part of a drum kit, they present the kit as a whole with the room they are in.
