Can a simple plastic seat become realistic, worn-out leather upholstery? In this video, I transform the original plastic seat from the MiniArt 1/35 Chevrolet G506 Tow Truck into a realistic, heavily weathered 1950s-style truck seat. Using simple materials such as high-density foam, adhesive tape, and cotton thread, I recreate the leather texture, upholstery seams, wrinkles, dents, and torn sections with exposed stuffing. I then use acrylic paints, washes, and weathering techniques to achieve the appearance of aged, cracked leather. No expensive aftermarket parts — just simple materials, creativity, and a little patience! This is a small part of my ongoing MiniArt G506 Tow Truck project. The complete step-by-step build and weathering video is coming soon. Thank you for watching! If you enjoyed this technique, please like, comment, and subscribe.
