Considering that painting miniatures is meant to be a creative hobby, I don't think I play around as much as I should - I'm quite set in my ways! It might mean that I'm missing out on new methods, new paints, or some tweak on an old standard that would make life easier in some way or other. The only way to find out is to give it a shot and practice! People mention regularly that they quite enjoy videos where I make a mistake, because I don't edit them out; this is essentially a very long format version of that premise.
