SHADOW & KAYDEE SITTING CLOSER TOGETHER ON LOOKOUT SNAG! BEAUTIFUL CHORTLES & FLY OFFS! 💕 10.7.26

Shadow & Kaydee were vocal this morning with their chortles way before dawn! They began their duet singing just after 4am and continued until they flew to Lookout snag. But when they landed, they both engaged in beautiful long chortles lasting over a minute. Each day they spend the night together and wake up in the Roost Tree is giving both Shadow & Kaydee consistency and togetherness that they will be there for one another. This is an important point as nesting season will begin in November and we should seem both bringing in sticks & placing them on the nest. So when does mating occur? Bald eagles that are mated pairs, mate year round and most of time it is out of cam view. Eagles hormones can be triggered by the photoperiod length of daylight, along with nest building. Usually we see mating activity with Jackie & Shadow in November & December after they begun working on the nest. This will be Kaydee's first breeding season since she is not yet five years old. She will be guided by her hormones being triggered just like Shadow, and then the instinct to mate will take over ♥ Every day they spend together like this brings them closer & closer to becoming a bonded pair.
