24hoSMW #14 - Cold Cash Crisis

Rank: 3rd out 26 entries. This one was made back in July 2021for the 14th iteration of 24hoSMW aka the contest where one has to make a level in less than 24 hours. The challenge was about 'resource sets': participants were given a baserom with a lot of sprites, blocks and UberASMs to choose with some peculiar restrictions, the contest becoming controversial because of those. For this one I chose the bouncing spiny eggs, the piranha plants, the boost platforms, ice blocks and the 'money is life' UberASM. As far as I remember, the creation of this level took me overall 6-7 hours, with the last area with the Dragon Coins literaly untested at the time I submitted this. The choice of the resources were quite obvious as soon as I discovered what was in the baserom (thankfully enough, otherwise I'd have been in trouble to make something in time lol), and the level was heavily inspired by the OLDC 2021 level GREEDY ATHLETIC by MiracleWater (   • [OLDC] 2021 - GREEDY ATHLETIC  ) as well as one level from Super SIG World 38 (   • Super SIG World 38 Part 6  .
