The Battle over DEI Becomes an Administration Priority

The opening session will focus on the evolving challenges to Employer DEI programs arising from various Executive Orders and how they are being interpreted and applied by the EEOC, DOL, DOJ and ED OCR; the threats to federal funding for failure to adhere to these new interpretations; and private lawsuits supported by conservative advocacy groups. Key challenges include conflicts between these new interpretations and existing statutes, regulations, state laws and court precedent. All of this is in the context of changes in federal enforcement priorities across multiple agencies, substantial reductions in force, and the loss of Chevron deference
