down the stairs / smooth japanese jazz for a late evening

A short staircase descends from the sidewalk to a glowing golden door, a small round blue sign marking the tiny basement jazz bar below. The street above rests in deep indigo, a few windows lit, a potted maple by the railing. Put this mix on while reading, finishing a quiet task, or easing into a late evening. There is no schedule here. Stay for a while. Subscribe for more Japanese jazz and illustrated escapes across Japan.
