Parliament debates how to stop the rise of religious intolerance in Europe

MEPs debate the rise of religious intolerance with representatives from the European Commission. The discussion is in response to increasing concerns raised by the EU's Fundamental Rights Agency, media reports, and civil society regarding the situation of religious freedom and tolerance in Europe.   In line with its obligations under the Charter of Fundamental Rights, the EU is committed to promote and protect freedom of religion or belief for all.
