Got a few requests to make this video as well as most of my subscribers know that I am a fan of Sheethal Travels. Did a Mumbai to Mangalore journey after quite some time now. This bus is BS6 Ashok Leyland bus built by Surendra coaches. This is a 30 sleeper berth bus. Sheethal Travels is now one of the popular bus operators on Mumbai to Mangalore route because of their punctuality and speed. The bus crew comprosed of Anand Anna (First Driver), Raghu Anna (2nd Driver), and Yateesh (Conductor). Yateesh was very sweet and we talked a bit about the bus and the journey. There are now 3 buses operating during the season. Two from Nalasopara and one from Dombivali. The REC built bus starts from Dombivali. This BS6 bus is the last bus of Sheethal to leave. I caught the bus from Sion (Chunabhatti). The reported time of the bus was 2:55 pm but maybe due to less traffic it reached at 2:35 pm itself. Since its a new bus and BS6, the bus was speed locked at 80 kmph. This was the only let down of the bus. As Sheethal bus is known for speed, but this time it couldnt run as free because of the insurance and claim. The bus reached Managalore (Pumpwell Circle) by 9:30 am which was proper time as per the bus leaving time. We still managed to reach before Vishal Bharatbenz bus & Canara Pinto Non AC sleeper bus. There were a lot of buses who overtook us this time due to the speed lock. Even the Mercy & Vishal bus crew checked with our driver as to why so slow. Consistency is the reason for Sheethals success as we were an hour late to reach Pune but still reached Mangalore on time.
