Making a Sleek Tension setting: A Silversmithing Tutorial

This video shows how to make an interesting and eye catching setting for a large oval faceted stone (8x15mm). This is my interpretation of some similar designs I have seen online, so all credit for the design to whomever first made one like this! For materials I used 14 gauge (1.6 mm) sterling square wire, and a 1.6 mm thick slab of sterling from a previously cast ingot. As always, I use hard silver sheet solder and a liquid flux, although I did use a bit of easy paste solder at the end.
