YSM Concert Preview: The Turn of the Screw

“Are we to submit to people of authority? And who do we really trust at the end of the day? And will they lead to our own destruction?” More than a ghost story, Benjamin Britten’s The Turn of the Screw is a psychological thriller that’s as poignant today as it was when it premiered in 1954. Here, Scott La Marca ’26MMA, Laura Miah ’25MM ’26MMA, and stage director Nicola Bowie discuss Yale Opera’s production of the haunting chamber opera and what makes it so gripping. Performances on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3. Get tickets: https://music-tickets.yale.edu/overvi...
