2025 Olentangy Orange T&F at the Liberty Freedom Relays

Brooke Chapman (2026) and her teammates ran well at the Liberty Relays on a rainy Friday night. First, her team broke the school and meet record in the 4x1600. In this race, Brooke took the baton as the anchor and was about 100m behind the leader. She ran a sub 5 min split to cruise to the victory. Next, she and her teammates ran the Sprint Medley, taking 2nd place. Finally, they were back at it again in the Mid Distance Medley to close out the meet. Brooke was the anchor leg again with an 800m run. Brooke, the defending 1600m State Champion, started about 25 meters behind Elena Aldrink, the defending 3200m State Champion. They both competed well, and even though “E.A. loves the last lap”, Brooke was able to track her down to help Orange get the win. The competition was great and the kids really like this team event.
