Follow, I Will Follow Thee

Follow, I Will Follow Thee “Follow, I Will Follow Thee” is a gospel hymn of wholehearted commitment to Jesus Christ. The words were written by **Margaret W. Brown (1892–1985)**, also known as Pearl Margaret Winter Brown, together with her husband **Howard L. Brown**, who composed the music. The hymn was written in **1935**. Howard served as a director of California Christian Endeavor from 1930 to 1940, and he and Margaret wrote many spiritual songs together. The message of this hymn is simple yet powerful: when Jesus calls us, we are called to follow Him—not only when the road is easy, but every day and wherever He leads. To follow Christ is to trust Him, obey Him, and surrender our lives into His hands. May these words become our own testimony: *“Follow, I will follow Thee, my Lord.”* Jesus said: *“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” — Matthew 16:24* May this hymn encourage us to follow Jesus faithfully and to live each day for Him. *To God be all the glory. 🙏* John 12:26 26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
