Mugabe and Tsvangirai arrive at hotel to continue talks

(in Shona language) Today is the day for deals." 4. Shot continues as Mugabe walks into talks STORYLINE: Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe indicated on Friday that he was confident a deal would be struck at the end of the fourth day of power-sharing talks. Speaking to reporters as he arrived at the hotel in Harare where talks were being held, Mugabe said: "today is the day for deals." Opposition leaders Morgan Tsvangirai and Arthur Mutumbara arrived earlier for the talks, which were being mediated by former South African President Thabo Mbeki. The Zimbabwe opposition declared a deadlock on Thursday, but said it hoped Mbeki could still rescue the proposed unity government agreed to in a deal signed a month ago. Talks have stalled over the allocation of Cabinet posts. The opposition has accused Mugabe of trying to hold onto to too many key ministries.
