(10/26/26) Monday FULL Forecast - Coastal Flood Warning Continues, Strong Halloween Weekend Storm Possible A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect for San Diego County beaches through 1 PM Thursday as high ocean levels combine with astronomical high tides to bring significant coastal flooding. An Kelvin wave associated with our developing El Niño has helped raise sea levels along the Southern California coastline. Observed water levels are running 1.5 to 1.7 feet ABOVE predicted astronomical tides. The greatest flooding threat will occur during the late morning high tides through Thursday. Low-lying coastal communities may experience flooded roads, beach erosion, and water reaching coastal properties. Think PB, OB, and Mission Beach. Away from the beaches, expect plenty of sunshine today and Tuesday before temperatures gradually cool and the marine layer becomes more established by midweek. Our attention then turns to a potentially strong Pacific storm system expected to impact Southern California around Halloween weekend. Confidence is increasing that we will see rain across San Diego County, but the magnitude of this storm remains uncertain. The biggest question is the exact track of the area of low pressure. If the low tracks directly across Southern California, we could see widespread moderate to heavy rain, gusty winds, and thunderstorms. However, if the low tracks farther south into Baja California, the heaviest precipitation may remain south of San Diego County, resulting in a less significant storm for our area. Rain chances could begin Friday, with the greatest potential for widespread precipitation currently looking to be Halloween night and Sunday. Gusty winds will also be possible in the mountains, deserts, and Imperial County. #Socalwx #Sandiegowx #Imperialcounty #Oceanside #Pacificbeach #Missionbeach #Bralwey #Elcentro #Saltoncity
