A seafarer from across the pond, Jimmy Abilad began his seafaring career with the SIU by attending the Paul Hall Center in 2006. He successfully graduated from class number 681 and caught his first ship, Liberty in 2007 as a Stewards Assistant. Traveling far and wide he advanced his career at sea by continuing to upgrade at the Paul Hall Center, first as Chief Cook and then to Steward Baker. These days, our well traveled friend successfully manages a steward department onboard the APL vessel President Roosevelt.
