This video reveals an interesting anecdote from the pages of film history, when Prakash Mehra was searching for the lead actor for his film Zanjeer, and along with writer Javed Akhtar, went to watch a comedy film in mid-1972. Javed felt that a boy in one of the scenes from that film seemed perfect for the role of Inspector Vijay Khanna in Zanjeer. After watching the film, both went to meet Amitabh Bachchan at his house, and Prakash Mehra decided then and there that no one but Amitabh could play this role.
