The Weather Inside Me is a song about mood—the unseen weather that can change inside us from one hour to the next. Sleep, pain, worry, hormones, loneliness, memories, money, relationships and even the light outside can affect how we feel. Sometimes there is an obvious reason; sometimes we wake beneath a cloud we cannot explain. From the outside, everything may appear calm while a storm is taking place within us. This song is written in the first person because mood is intensely personal. It is not always something we choose, and it does not always reflect the life we actually have.
