Come with me on a birthday weekend in Blackpool 🎂🌊 I headed back to one of my favourite seaside destinations for a weekend packed with plenty of fun, a few surprises, and some mixed experiences along the way. 🍺 First up, I discovered a pub selling pints for just £1.75! Why pay more when you can enjoy a cheap pint in Blackpool. 🏨 I also checked into a cosy, more upmarket hotel right in the heart of Blackpool’s LGBT+ community, which made a lovely base for the weekend. 🎆 One of the highlights was watching the spectacular South Asia World Fireworks Championship, with an incredible fireworks display lighting up the Blackpool skyline. 🎡 I also visited my favourite seaside pier, including a stop at my favourite bar. Unfortunately, the planned afternoon of Soul & Motown was cancelled because of the weather, which was a real shame. ☕ And then came one of the more disappointing moments of the trip. I returned to one of my favourite cafés, now under new ownership, hoping for the coffee I remembered — but sadly, it just wasn’t the same. Sometimes things change, and not always for the better!
